Jackson Hole, Wyoming
This trip will meet at 8:00 am at Wilson
Backcountry Sports, 1230 Ida Lane, Wilson, Wyoming, 307-733-5228.
Wilson is four miles from downtown Jackson Hole and there is
a bagel shop next door to pick up a morning treat and coffee.
From the bike shop we will shuttle to Harriman State Park where
our ride begins.
If you would like to fish on this trip you must obtain an Idaho and Wyoming fishing license. You can buy an Idaho license at Tesoro gas station in Ashton where we stop on our shuttle the first day. You will need to purchase a Wyoming fishing license in Jackson before your trip.
GETTING TO JACKSON HOLE
-Driving. It is a 90 mile drive from Idaho Falls and 307 miles
from Salt Lake City.
-Flying into
Jackson Hole.
American, Continental, Delta, Northwest and United fly into Jackson Hole.
-Flying into
Salt Lake City.
There are two options.
1.) Rent a car and drive to Jackson Hole,
approximately 5 hours. There is parking available near the
bike shop.
2.) Take the Jackson Hole Express Shuttle. The shuttle departs Salt Lake City airport at 1:00pm daily and arrives in Jackson Hole at 6:30 pm. Fares are $75 each way. Call 800-652-9510 for reservations, www.jacksonholealltrans.com. The shuttle departs Jackson Hole daily at 6:30 am and arrives in Salt Lake City airport at 12:00 noon.

This is the closest B&B to the bike shop, about 1 mile. Generally
they have a 2 night minimum.
You will receive a tour packing list with
your tour confirmation package. Be sure to bring everything
on this list. Weather in the mountains
can be unpredictable, so please bring all the warm clothing
and rain gear on the list! Please pack all of your gear
in a medium to large duffel bag. It will ride in the trailer.

SHIPPING YOUR
BIKE
To ship your bike UPS, send it to Wilson
Backcountry Sports 1230 Ida Lane, Wilson, WY 83014. It
is critical that you include your name, “Western Spirit
Cycling” and tour date on the outside of the box. Check
with your local UPS people for the number of days needed for
it to arrive in time. It is imperative to have your bike finely
tuned and cleaned before your tour so you know it is in top
running condition.
